Toyota Crown 2023.. Hybrid luxury sedan with 3 classes and four-wheel drive

Toyota has unveiled its new 2023 Crown luxury hybrid sedan، which comes in three classes with a standard all-wheel drive system، two hybrid powertrain options، plenty of modern technologies، and an unconventional raised sedan chassis.

The base powertrain is a 236-hp hybrid setup، while the Platinum model comes with a turbocharged 2.4-liter and two electric motors، which is good for 340 hp. Some trims like the Platinum come with an 11-speaker JBL audio system، heated and ventilated leather front seats، and a stylish two-tone paint option.


While the XLE and Limited are equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with three electric motors powered by a new nickel-metal-hydride battery، a familiar hybrid setup from Toyota. to the front wheels. In addition، a third electric motor drives the rear wheels، giving the Crown all-wheel drive.

Toyota claims this setup produces 236 horsepower. This hybrid system also has an EV mode that allows electric-only driving for short distances at low speeds.

 The 3 Series Toyota Crown Platinum brings the Platinum Model Upgrade for 2023، or what Toyota calls “Hybrid Max،” a new hybrid system with a 2.4-liter hybrid engine، turbocharger and four hybrid engines paired with a six-speed automatic transmission، with a wet multi-clutch The plates are sandwiched between the engine and gearbox، replacing the standard torque converter like Mercedes-AMG.


Like the base hybrid، the electric motor adds extra horsepower and torque and increases powertrain response، and there's another electric motor on the rear axle، although it's water-cooled and more powerful than the engine in the XLE and Limited segments.

Toyota says the Hybrid Max upgrade gives the Toyota Crown Platinum 340 horsepower، with maximum torque coming from the gas engine between 2،000 and 3،000 rpm. While the basic hybrid engine is front-wheel drive in certain conditions، the Toyota Crown Platinum is always in all-wheel drive mode، sending up to 70 percent of the vehicle's power to the front wheels or up to 80 percent to the rear wheels.
